Hello again Mr Pimpernell????
Have you caught up with what has not been going on here.
We got a brief visit from Daytona, he must have sussed us out PDQ as he has not been back.
Anyway, give us something to disagree with.
Oh BTW i am stuck in this 3rd world country (UAE) till 15th Jan then off to Aussy for 5 weeks. Regretfully i have to come and slum it back here for a further 4 weeks after.

Ha, Slumming It indeed ! I've had a little look around and I can see that someone has had a bit of a play. It happens on all sites. The only one I was on for a couple of months had one too, proper disagreeable he was too. I'm trying not to get to serious as, " It's only Banter " so I'll try to behave from now on. Got myself into a bit of a dark place a while back Stress and Work and a few new Health Issues plus a couple of shocks losing old mates. I lost my Mojo for a while there. Anyway, I've been seriously considering getting rid of my ZZR and maybe getting the new BMW RS 1250 with the latest 136 brake engine, haven't sat on one yet but will be soon. What do you reckon Bob ?

Been reading the tests on the new 1250s. Must say they sound impressive, BUT, value for money you have to look at what else for the same money is around.
My RT is ready for binning, but what to get to replace it with. I do know i want a smaller lighter bike with a few creature comforts..............maybe a Burgman 650 with retractable wing mirrors
but really, i do feel a new bike is due.
I nearly and would have bought a Z900 recently but NO salesmen wanted to sell me one......it's a long story.
Anyway stick around, difficult to strike up a banter when only 2/3 posters are around.

The Z900 I tested was really good but lacked the character of my MT, the basic RS1250 is less than £12000 and I'm really not a gadget person but as you say, there are lots of other bikes to consider. My MT is over 5 years old now and I really want another. The ZZR Is just too heavy, long and unwieldy, shame really.

Ed loves his v-strom, but you’d need a step ladder

Ha, You aren't kidding. I was looking at lots of bikes two weeks ago at Bransons and some were just Stupid High. Most Adventure types are beyond me.
