I don't understand all the fuss. I'm sure anyone who wants to know anything about me, my lifestyle, my money, my anything at all already has all the information they need, without hacking into anything technical. The only thing I worry about is being scammed and losing my money. I am paranoid about cash machines and anyone touching my bank card.

I was trying to get some information from the job centre a few months back and was answering some of their standard questions, until they asked for my bank information and I refused to tell them. I wasn't there to make any sort of claim, so why should I do that? I had my purse open as I had written my national insurance number down on a slip of paper and was getting it out. The cheeky sod behind the desk leaned forward and said "I see you have another bank card there. Is that for a different account?" And then they wonder why people resent having to go into those places. They don't need computers to snoop on us. They're all at it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they went through my dustbin while I'm out.

I agree it is worrying. And like you i am terrified "they" may get the info they need to scam me from any of these sites. This is why i only do this forum and watsapp, minimise the risk so to speak.
I don't even answer my phone unless i recognise the number or name.
Worrying times.
