Warning.

Just thought I'd mention this to make sure nobody else ends up making the same mistake.

I asked for a sheepskin for the Kawasaki seat, thinking it would save me lots of money, compared to the cost of having the seat rebuilt.
My youngest son obliged.
Now I seem to have something very like a dead Yak attatched to my bike

I'm rather relieved I am temporarily unable to ride the bike for a few days. It will give whatever it is time to run back and join it's flock/herd/whatever.

Got sheepskin rugs on the seats of the E-Type, they look really 70s and cool (heard my young son say that) :)

Boys are so predictable! :D

I tried an Airhawk on it and it worked well, but I'd borrowed it from a friend, to see if I liked it. The one thing I hated was the faff of removing it every time I got off. I'm a bit lazy about such things and the seat isn't the easiest to get on and off, but I've heard of them being stolen from parked bikes and couldn't afford to risk it.
A cheap copy might be the thing to try if the weird, fluffy thing doesn't :)

One of my mates made the mistake of wearing padded Lycra cycling shorts underneath his leathers on a long , hot ride out in Spain . The resulting pool of sweat he sat in all day left some nappy rash that kept us laughing all evening .

Padded knickers. No. I think I'd rather pay for another seat :D

I've just been out for a short ride. Only 40 miles, so not a fair test. I like to imagine the base of my spine felt better, but that might be wishful thinking. I'm still sliding forward into the tank all the time.
Maybe I 'll get it an appointment at the hairdresser and get it backcombed :)
