I'm going to be rich!!!!!!!

The Government have, at last, failed to find a reason to hang on to my money that I have contributed to my pension. The official letter arrived this morning.
At the end of May I get one weeks money, but after that, at the end of June, I get the full whack. Every month. I am practically speechless. I though the day would never come.
And it's almost as much as I was earning when I had to leave work to be John's carer! I can't see the catch. I expect there is one, but even so, I'm excited :)

Is it wrong to plan my first spending spree? I don't care. I'm having a steak and a bottle of red. Anything that's over 14.5% :D
I'm really, really sick of vegetable and nettle soup. Only a month to wait!!!!!

And after that I'll be careful with it. Until I have enough to send the Striple away to be sorted out. I feel a new wiring loom coming on...... :)
Still reading the letter over and over again, just to make sure, but I really think it's going to happen.

Talking about Nettle soup.........We're off to Southampton this weekend, I'll drop Sam off at her Sisters and head to Calshot for a few days...... It's bang on season for a bit of Forraging...........I Used Nettles, Wild Garlic, Samphire and Sea Lettuce in a Langoustine Bisque dish a few days back..... twas proper lush too.......... Recently I've joined a UK Foraging site and hope to get better at it........ at Calshot I can find Sea Beet, Samphire, Sea Purslane and the odd Alexander plus all manner of Shellfish.... might have a go at cooking some Slipper Limpits too..... Pics to follow !!!

Petrol/diesel prices.
I needed a bit of diesel in the MH when we left Henley. Called into a BP station (normally i wouldn't go near a BP)
Diesel £1.97 p/l, i got 5 lts to get me to a Tesco.

There's a BP just outside Xativa.
It used to be Cepsa or something, with decent priced fuel, so we used it a lot.

BP took over and the price went up a bit, so we stopped using it.

Roll on the current crisis, and evidently we weren't the only ones that stopped going there. Ed said petrol was €2.19 a litre there, when everywhere else it was around €1.80

It's now got cones at every pump, and the cafe is locked up.
Shame.
Not.
