April 1st. 6 years since I gave my notice in at the hospital. I've survived all this time selling eggs, honey, rhubarb and flowers. I had to give that up as well over two years ago.
Maybe I've been more successful than I thought. I've only just run out of money so that's not bad going.
Almost pension time!
I'm quite glad I didn't blow a chunk of it on a Grom. I certainly seriously considered it for a while before I got sick. Just as well really. I'd still be at the back, trying to go faster and catch another rocket ship ahead of me on the road
I'm so excited to see how you get on with it, Nev. Have you told your insurance company? I didn't bother when John tweaked the Harley. It looked exactly the same so I figured someone would have had to dismantle it to know anything was different

You keep with it Emma, there is always good times after bad..... personally I'm now Broke having budgeted @£3500 for the Grom !!! might have to sell some stuff......... On the growing front, It's a great time to go foraging, especially in Coastal areas like you are....., reckon you could find plenty to eat..... I cooked Alexanders the other night as they were all around us, Sammy had a fit when I came back with a bunch and declared I would be cooking them for tea !!!! they weren't very nice though, a bit too young and bitter.....

I'm good at foraging
Today I scored a bowl of minestrone and a roll. I took my Mum out so she could shop for about a million birthday and easter presents. She was so pleased she insisted on buying lunch. That was nice.
And the house sale is now back on. Not that it seems to mean anything. It's a bit like Groundhog day
It's got to the stage where I'm not very interested, apart from the money. I'm looking forward to that bit

We had our Electric and gas bill today...... It's now up to £650 per month....... yeah ! so my next little mission is to connect up all the Solar panels and buy a couple of wind turbines.........and if that don't work, I'll kick the Kids out....... one good thing is the MH doesn't use any Amps at all and my next Bike will be solely powered by Solar too........ it's a great feeling to be able to camp up in the driveway for free !!!!!.

I nearly choked when i saw our Christmas electricity bill. And the next month was almost as bad.
Winter used to be €100 per month, summer around €70. Now €250
Tell you what, my wages haven't gone up 150%.

I was a bit shocked when Sam told me... but TBH, our Washing machine is on @ 3-5 times a day most days, as is the Tumble Dryer.... and the Dishwasher at least twice so no real surprises why..... as from this morning we have a new mission, all appliances will be set to Eco mode, both the "Kids" rooms/offices will have their own Solar supply for all their computors and lights and the Shed System of panels will be added to and re directed into the house to help with the day to day electric use. I've been looking at Wind Turbines which are mostly Chinese plastic crap but there are a few decent options too which work in a slight breeze and 24 hours a day rather than just when it's sunny. This is my next Project !!!!!
