Well, how good was that, meeting up with old and new ex and new forum members.
Emma, it was a pleasure to meet you after so many near misses.
Great ride down to Super Sausage, all country roads, fantastic. Met Bridgette??? a Super Sausage, chat, food, nice tea and off once again via all country roads/lanes to Basingstoke. I purposely took Brid/g the pretty way to look at some nice villages (or maybe the sat nav got confused).
Met up with CC and his good lady at the hotel in Basingstoke. (Gareth being a tight bastard paid half the room rate i paid), anyway, a few libations in the evening and good rubbish chat was enjoyed by all (i think).
The ride home was memorable, upto the A34 it was torrential, clearish on the A34 and M40 then it came down again in biblical fashion.
On the M6 traffic came to a stop. filter through for mile after mile, got to the front and it turns out a nasty crash on the south bound and the helicopter had just landed on the M6. 45 mins wait before we had to follow one of those toy cops at 25 mph for about 10 mile.
Anyway got home 6.30pm with a very very sore bum and nobody to rub it better...........so i went out for a pint.
All in all a fantastic weekend and thanking one and all for making it such. Ta too much
PS. would be grateful for pics to be posted as i didn't take any, mainly cause i didn't have a camera
