Bikers' Banter

This place has obviously had a lot of time and effort put into making it into a Site for like minded Bikers....... way more than some simple FB place........ So what is the actual problem with the expansion of membership ? .... ? Looks like Botts can find it..... looks like some former MCN Members can too but why is it that all the people invited have only posted a few times and not stayed around ???? I've been on many other sites but they mostly expand rapidly and end up either getting deleted or turning into some type of uncontrollable force of sillyness........ It just seems a bit of a waste of effort by the people who created this place ..... only to have a few posters, posting the odd comment, very occasionally...... Just my opinion though.

The chap that created this one used a template based on a car one that he runs. That one has been running for years.

I know him quite well.
This sits on his server with very little bother. Probably even less now, since he recently gave me a button to delete the spam posts.

I wish more would join.
I don’t really know what would keep them on.

Out of interest , how many of the regular MCNers are posting on the Farcebook site ? Is there general decline in forum users ?
Possibly in a Catch 22 position here where newcomers aren't attracted to this site as there are so few members .

I'm no longer on the BFO site that was set up just before MCN went, but there were @ 45 people there, not all posted just a few regulars.... I came and went a few times mostly due to one person.... only on a couple of Grom sites now other than the main FB site but a few of us still chat. If we could get Oscar on here it might be a bit more popular

Every registered user on here is an ex-MCN member and we've all met each other , so maybe it's difficult for a newbie to join what probably looks like an established group .

Hard for any forum to compete with FB. It's like going to the supermarket; all your groups are in one handy place.
Logging onto a forum is like going to a posh, specialist shop. Much nicer and worth the effort
