Could well have done as Tuesday i couldn't get out of that stupid Exeter around the M5 roads. I was trying to find the A396 to Tiverton. God i was so frustrated.
Then coming back the bitch tried to take me right through the city centre, well that's a no go innit, bastard cycle only roads took me ages to get through and around. The bitch don't know they are cycle only roads does she.
Same again on Wednesday morning, could i find the B3212 to Dunsford, could i F--@. At one time i was 5.1 miles away, then i'm heading north on the A30 10.8 miles away.
Found it eventually and did Dartmoor.
But i was fed up and upto here so i thought, blast to Bude get some pastys then go home.
Got the pasty's sat on the bike at 1210 exactly and set off for home, bitch said 267 miles, i was home in my garage at 5.20pm............and in my local pub at 5.35pm
Now that was a blast from Bude to J27 of M5. Got big thumbs up and a wave off a guy on a KTM who followed me for miles.
Anyway, left a couple of things in the hotel and a unused nights but Kali Wali, i was fed up with Exeter, never stay there or near again.
Will try and get some photos up.

Bude to M5 is the Atlantic Highway to Barnstaple, Great rood, then the North Devon Link road to Tiverton, I first road it in 1981 and the Link road before it was open in 1989... Maxed the FJ1200 and virtually every other bike on it over the years. Going to Barnstaple again today. Exeter is a pain if you don't know it, the road to Tiverton is to the north of Exeter past St Davids Station, It's a shame you didn't find it as the road is good. Barnstaple would be a better base to explore North Devon and Exmoor.... less riding until you get somewhere nice and there is a lot of nice ! Your Bike is Red you had your Grey Jacket on. just prior to seeing you there was an RT in black with similar jacket and white helmet... I thought it was you at first..... I was on the M5 south in the tranny... you would have passed one of those Traffic Police cars parked in a siding just up the road , Hope you weren't speeding !

As i got to Exeter quite early i went to Bridges to have a look around. Good bike shop.
Had a butty in the 53 cafe, good cafe.
I did get to Dunsford........... eventually i came into Dunsford from the north from Crockernwell so the only bit of the 3212 i missed this time was from Exe to Dunsford. I then went through to Tavistock stopping at lots of places on the moor, like 2 bridges.
From Bude to J27 M5 i just followed the bitch, great ride.
Give you an idea the route i did
Arrived Exeter 2pm went to Bridges
Day 2
Tiverton
Dulverton
Exford
Dunster
Porlock Weir
Lynmouth (nice F&Cs)
Simonsbath
Withypool (my favourite)
Exbridge
Back to hotel
Day 3
Dunsford
Tavistock
Bude
Hartford
Epic day 3.
And of course places in between. So all in all not too bad a road trip.
Wish i could get pics up.

i have to go there quite often to pick up Kitchen stuff, I never leave too early as Taunton and Exeter are both a pain for traffic in my Tranny..... will be leaving Yeovil @ 9 to go see me mum, might take a little detour If I feel up to it. Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Good decision to leave early Bob..... It pissed down.... just got back, cold wet but had a great blast from Tiverton to home when the rain stopped..... Bloody 40mph limit on the ND Link road what a pain, 12 miles and only 3 blokes working !

Just remembered.
When i went down there on the RT a few years ago and again last year in the MH i did not do Porlock Hill.
But this time i did going up. God i had forgotten just how steep and sharp some of those bends are,
Remember in the early 60s there were lots of cars that couldn't get up.
