Invisible bike

White helmet evidently doesn’t cut it!

Narrow lane today, can get 2 cars passing with care...
3 oncoming cars. No problem, don’t really need to slow down (going slow anyway)... third car is taking up a lot of room. A LOT of room. In fact, he’s drifting so far over, he’s going to hit the grass verges on my side... I’m watching my bit of road get narrower and narrower. My mate (behind) has dropped back. I’m now looking at a few inches of tarmac and some bleddy big potholes in the verge.
Holes or car?
I figured the car, because if I didn’t hit him, I’d be in the ditch with a smashed bike and he’d have just decked off.
Funny how quickly you can process things.
At the last second he gently drifted back enough for me to get through. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Later, proper A road, van overtaking.
Still headed for me.
Shit, still headed for me.
Brake like feck, he’s still coming straight at me.
I’ve seen my way out, but hoping I don’t need it.
He just clears me. Not even enough time to 🖕

I suspect he frightened the slower driver more than me.

Other than that, brilliant day out. Full tank of fuel used up. 👍
Cat & Fiddle was very windy. Hot chocolate was crap, but flapjack was awesome 😁😁😁

Too cold for ice cream 🍦

I always have a way out planned. It worked beautifully until the day I crashed. I had a gap to aim for, unril the second it was taken by the car being driven by my witness.....
Nice boy though, and it's only because he and his mates gave such good statements that I beat the drunk, lying ex-policeman who got me in my way.
I'd rather crash then have my bike wrecked and claim on my own insurance. It's the principle. :)

I feel the standard of driving has been getting worse every year , not sure if it's to do with the amount of technology in cars with Sat Navs , phones and DVD players etc which are distracting drivers .
Maybe it's me , but I think I became a better (more aware) car driver after passing my bike and HGV tests .
