The suspension both keeps the box level when going around corners and attenuates bumps so as to not spill the broth soba noodles are in.

That would have been useful in my Harley days.

Um, saddlebags if they are on a Harley-Davidson, panniers on any other bikes.

I usually just referred to them as "shopping bags".
