Bikers' Banter

Well just spent 2 hours cleaning the bike. Intended to give it a run but decided against it as 1. it's too clean, 2. i'm knackered and needed sleep.
Did take Bertie out for an hour though.

Bugger. Wish i had known earlier. Think i would have fancied that. Promised madam to take her out for lunch, we have booked Cholmondeley Arms.

Starting a bike after a few months is always a nice feeling Bob..... Getting out and about on it is even better..... Welcome home mate, Ilook forward to meeting up with you somewhere again mate ...... I've been trying to convince Sammy to entertain the thought of riding pillion on the Grom but alas to no avail....... so It's looking more like a couple of Battery Bikes getting strapped to the back of our MH...... On the plus side, at least all the charging will be free ! If you are planning a trip anywhere south and you fancy a meet up on some 5 star Campsite mate, just give us the nod.......

To be honest, I think Matlock is pretty packed at the moment. I haven’t been!

I’ve been flitting around Staffordshire mostly while the sun is still shining.

Surprising how confusing things are in your own home after being away for 4 months. Good to be back though.

Not been out on the bike yet. Nice Sunday lunch in a marquee yesterday after a good drive in Bertie.

Nev, we have a wedding reception in Oxford on 31st July. We are going down in the MH. Thinking a few days south of Oxford from 1st Aug (might be busy as school hols). I will let you know where we can get in. If it's not too far and you fancy a meet in the middle.

Sounds good Bob, we often head that way to see Sam's cousin Alex so could meet up somewhere. I joined the MH and Caravan club last week and there are something like 2500 sites, you get a map and a book showing each site, you also get discounts by being a member, not sure if you are a member yet !

Not joined any of what i call The C sites........there are a few of them. We have up to now been happy with the private sites through Premier, Best of British and Tranquil Parks, i think overall a bit more expensive and more, shall i say select.
Most on that forum are members of one C site or another. The bikkering for the sake of 50p is unreal. They pay £100k for a van then bikker over 50p/£1 if something goes up.

We will let you know where we will stay and can take it from there.

Bickering on websites ????? ..... never heard of such a thing !!!! anyway, we are booked local for this weekend, a site called Ashe Farm near Thornfalcon, Taunton.... it's not very far to go but there is a great MH and Caravan dealer just across the road and it's getting away from home so it's all good. Still debating what to do about getting mobile whilst on site.... Sammy just won't get on the back of the Grom and She's not liking the Push Bike option so It looks like a couple of battery bikes. To fit a towbar and bike rack to take the Grom, is almost as much as a couple of cheap powered bikes so I'll probably do that and save the grom for my single trips in the Tranny. MT09 has a buggered starter motor, which is what I guessed all along ! Total bill of @ £650 for all the work so I'll just keep it for a while longer, get my money's worth ! besides the latest MT09 wasn't really any better than mine so another saving.

You have already had your money out of your MT.
We have stuff on everyday next week, dentist, ear test, injections, etc etc, after that free to get back to retirement.
