lol...... It's a fossilized Tree about 150 million years old.... I read it on one of those information boards.

I knew what those were! Maybe I've been there in the past as I can't imagine where else I would have learnt about them.

I saw similar remains in California . May be wrong , but I think it was called the Petrified Forest where the trees were fossilised after a volcano eruption .
