Ha.... Is It always so quiet here then..... / Yes, I ride past it quite often..... It's in a lovely part of the Valley with some very Steep and tight turns but It would be Ace as a Base ...... lots of places to go.... a nice little petol Station at Barbrook and probably on a Bus route too....... That whole area is Stunning.

Yes it is mostly quiet on here. On occasions there is a flurry of activity then it goes quiet again.

Not heard from Bee lady for quite some time. Hoping she is OK. CC works away so comes on when he can. NC is the boss so she posts a bit and the only other one that comes on but not regular is Piglet. Shame really as i think it is a great forum. Not the bitterness of the old place. I don't think there has ever been a argument or slagging, maybe that's whats missing..............................you short ass bastard  :D :-p

I sometimes wonder if people are not joining the site cause i'm on it????????? :emb:

I don't think it's anything to do with you being on here at all that stops others coming here, Most of the "Good' old MCN people are on the FB forum that was set up shortly before MCN shut down.... the are 41 Members on "Bike Forum Outcasts" which is a private place that no-one else can see so It's actually safer than here as anyone can view here by just typing in the name. BFO has a steady supply of topics and stupid stuff ( mine mainly! ) and it's a friendly place too...... I'm sure you would like it there but I know your views on FB. A couple of the Campsites we looked at staying in over the weekend were fully booked..... i hope you can find a spot....

All interesting stuff. Think i will just stick with this and talk to myself most of the time (nowt unusual there then).

Hours last night looking, ditto this am. Taking your info into account and looking at the books i have on camps sites, then looking on Google Maps where they are and what's around it's a bloody minefield.
Anyway i have given my PA 2 sites to call, 1. Ross Park, Ipplepen. 2. Dornafield, Two Mile Oak. Got to start somewhere.
Both have what appears to have a nice pub/restaurant on site or short walk. Torquay and Totnes are about 5/6 miles away so handy for car hire i would think.

Oh....That's South Devon near the English Riviera.... Very Touristy ! Brixham Is good, Torquay and Painton have nice Sea Fronts and lots to do..... North Devon Is about an hour and a half away .... the Traffic is normally Hellish in Season, bit further SW you'll find Looe and Polperro which are very nice too...... a bit further north is dartmoor which on a good day is stunning. Two Bridges and Becky Falls are worth a visit as well as Haytor which has some Stunning Views. 7 days of touring will only scratch the surface but I bet you'll find some lovely places. Shame to miss out North Devon though as It's way more Beautiful !!!!!
