The school play was cancelled so the students were "DEVASTATED". WTF.......will someone explain to these people the meaning of being "devastated", it's certainly NOT the cancellation of a bloody play. I despair (and i'm thick)

I was devastated yesterday when I saw it was raining, so couldn’t be bothered to get the bike out.
Oh wait, no I wasn’t, I was mildly p!ssed off.
Loads more bike events I was going to go to have been cancelled. Looks like it’s going be a lean year.

No change here apart from having to learn to speak a little louder as I now only speak to people from inside the garden gate. Not seen family or friends for over a week but the neighbours are all out and about, walking their dogs.
Still waiting for my Tesco delivery. It will be one of the most exciting things that's ever happened! For the future a group of us are taking turns to book future delivery slots so if anyone needs just a few things we can add to a weekly list.
There's a lot to be said for having good neighbours, even if they do all live some distance away. It's always been a great place to live but it's heart-warming to see how everyone on this side of the village is looking out for each other. One of the ladies living in the row of old people's bungalows in the village sent me an email thanking me for the eggs I sent along for her. She's terribly frightened of not knowing what may come but all the residents are quite amazed at the offers of help and support they're getting. She said if it wasn't such an awful situation she'd be loving all the attention.
It's one bright spot in the whole, horrible mess and good to be able to share what we do have with each other. I've planted the most vegetable seeds ever so maybe I'll have plants to give away soon, and still have enough for myself. Stay safe, everyone x

Totally agree be. We are experiencing the same neighbourly concerns and offers of shopping on our behalf. Shirley has been trying with all the big chains to get a delivery slot, almost impossible.
Seeing the news this am and the amount of people out and about in close proximity yesterday doesn't surprise me. People can be very selfish.
Being diabetic and now in our 70s the only time I/we go out is for a drive or a walk along the River Weaver behind us keeping well away from other humans.
Keep well Bee.
PS. are you still doing the bee's?????

No. I lost them all to a virus last autumn. Must have been fate as it would be impossible for me to visit them and do any work without being able to drive.
No idea how to make a living now. A half blind, disabled, older lady who can't drive or even get to a bus stop is not a very desirable employee, but I'm still just happy to be alive so just enjoying each day as it comes and trying hard to get stronger and better.
I have one top bar hive in the garden which makes natural honey comb. Just for me, the family and my friends. Not for making money. I love going out to see them on sunny days like today.
At least I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful place to be alone in. Things could be so much worse

Richard Briers and Felicity Kendal are your neighbors?
