I wish I'd been able to do some panic buying. I'm already a bit sick of eggs. Planning a proper pig out on the 24th. That's when the Tesco delivery van arrives

Went to tesco this morning, massive queues, at least they had some stuff. No rice or pasta and I've gotta go back for my meds tomorrow, so much for keeping away from people I'm being forced to have more contact than usual.

Wanted some mushrooms and eggs, so went to Lidl at 9pm to avoid the crowds.
Empty (of stock and people)
Went to Tesco. Reasonably stocked that late, but zero bread or eggs.

Few things that WILL happen after this has passed.
1. all the prices that have gone/going up WONT come down.
2. in 9/10/11 months there will be a baby boom
3. Lot's of people will take advantage of the situation
4. there will be a big slump in sales of food and stuff when it's over so more claims (hoarders)
And i can't understand all these small businesses that have been trading for years wanting the gov to pay their rents, bizz tax, stop vat blah blah, do these businesses not retain funds for downturns, slumps and unforeseen in trading. Spose not.
I religiously used to have a % of my turnover put in a war fund every month for such times. Maybe it's me that's weird (or probably i knew the UAE gov were not going to bail me out like here)
Have a nice day and keep well
