It's a rollercoaster, I have no shares but I do watch some prices and also I view the Bullion by post website daily... it shows the live Gold and Silver prices, I then play a little game of hunt the Silver on EBay, last night I found a bundle of 10x1oz Silver coins for £220, individually they are @ £44 to buy at current prices. A couple of friends have Crypto but that's all a mystery to me, one mate kept telling everyone he had @£300.000 worth when it was up at @ £50000 per Coin but rather than cash-in, he was waiting for it to hit £100.000 per coin but it then crashed back to £14.000..... It's all a Gamble though.. What Bike have you in mind ?

It's probably 18 months away, but at the moment I'm considering a v-strom or a tiger.

Funny thing is, for sbout 10 years there was nothing i fancied. I only got the fazer because the price was right, but i haven't regretted it for a second.

V-Strom sounds good, a lot of bike for the money and plenty to choose from and it's a do it all bike so probably a worthy long term companion.... not convinced about Triumphs in general, keep hearing about problems !!!! Have you considered a R1200GS ?.. I'm saving for my next bike too as a replacement for the Z900, It's either a Hayabusa (not the latest one) or possibly the Suzuki GT1000, depending on what's available at the time.

I'm not convinced that BMWs are worth the money (for me)

I can get everything i need in a cheaper bike. Days out, week touring. Don't need to be able to cross the steppes

Although i do quite fancy the Atlas mountains

That's what has put me off, Bike prices are going crazyI was looking at the Kawasaki SX.... £26000 !!! only paid £9000 for my MT09..... you could get 3 of them for that money... BMW's are basic equipped as standard and you can soon add many thousands.... That's why I won't be buying a BMW... the Suzuki V-Strom is a bargain new and even better second hand and just as capable whatever roads you ride.

With the shaft driven tourer market being limited and dreaming of an upgrade to the FJR , I looked at the BMW K1600GT until I saw the price .
I'll keep dreaming . :D

Hello again.... Those K1600's do depreciate quite a bit though, or so I've noticed !
