A few years back one of my Son's girlfriends lent me an awesome Goth style dress (fancy dress outfit) which had a sticky out skirt with dozens of layers of net petticoats. I flounced all evening in it and every time anyone mentions a flounce it takes me back to that night. I probably shouldn't say it, but I looked pretty good in it. Black and dark purple, lace up bodice, tall boots and lots of make up. I looked about twenty years younger. God, it hurt, giving that dress back. Flouncing hasn't been the same since

I can't help it. It was a whole, new experience. I wouldn't do it again but for fancy dress anything goes. That's my excuse anyway
