You are not the only person in the world who currently has an Imperial Purple Triumph in the shop at the moment for electrical problems. :(

I had just stopped worrying every time I started it and the memory of the last bill was fading nicely. I think bill's going to be much bigger, but finger's crossed that it's a loose connection and not break in a wire. They don't really do repairs in England any more, so if it's in a chunky bit of the loom they just replace the loom. I'll probably have to sell the bike to pay the bill this time. It would be a shame as I like Triumphs a lot and they have nothing as fast and agile that is low enough for me.
What's happened to Mrs Bonnie? You have much further to go to get work done then I do. My dealer's only 11 miles away, although my favourite work shop is further away. Must be all of 14 miles to get to that one but they were fully booked until September. I couldn't even get an MOT booked in there at the moment, so it was the Triumph shop or do it myself. I'm starting to wish I'd tried to do it myself, but I really would be sorry if I'd put something back wrong, so best to let someone who's had more practice play with it.

I hope you get her back soon. She'll be missing you.

I'm glad you got Mrs Bonnie fixed. No sign of my bike going anywhere yet. The chap that does electrics has broken his leg and one of the other lads in the workshop has gone on holiday. No doughnuts for them. Fancy disappearing just when I need them most.

I had a 'phone call earlier today. They managed to find time to find the fault (ignition barrel) and the parts are ordered. My luck must be holding because having seen what other members of the Street triple forum have paid in the past I'm not going to be hit as hard as everyone else has been. Taking the lads doughnuts when they've been good to me must be paying off :D I hope they've got it right first time. I'm not completely convinced but the wiring diagram shows that it's not impossible. We shall see.

260-mile test ride with no issues. Did take a couple of short-cuts to get out of backed up traffic due to road construction - neither me nor Ms. Bonnie do a good job of staying cool while sitting in 90°F (32°C) temperatures in the sun.

That's almost as warm as we've had it here, until a few days ago. Definitely not good for sitting in traffic. I feel the heat on the Striple as I'm already sitting right on top of two very hot pipes.

I'm really looking forward to getting it back. The parts should arrive on Wednesday and then I have to wait until someone cancels their time in the workshop and the lads can sneak mine in instead. There's still eight days to go until it officially gets in there but they're trying to get it back to me as soon as they can. They know they get fed treats if they get a move on.
