Brilliant. I just have to do it on a bike before i get old and knackered.
Brill filming and editing.

I very recently plotted a route based on how i did it in the car, clockwise.
I will plot your route to see how close it is.
How long were you on Skye as i have 135 miles = 5 hours just to do a circle.

Skye was a bit of a fail!
We set off at 9 ish, diverted to Eilean Donan castle, then up to Skye.
Fairy Pools, then headed to the top end, which is apparently the prettiest. Sadly we hit miles of freshly laid tar spray and gravel. The gravel was inches deep.
Lovely afternoon coffee and cake then just did a loop north and back to the bridge. Didn’t really have enough time.
I think 2 days would be ideal. Even if you stay on the mainland you could do it.
I plan to go up again next year.
Maybe do the ‘clover’ maybe Oban/Mull

I basically just want to ride a loop to say in my mind been there done that.
I calculated the loop i want to do on Skye at about 135 miles and allowed 5/6 hours to do it leaving KOL straight after brekkie.
Did i ever mention i worked in KOL for years in the 70s. In Loch Kishorn they built a massive floating moveable concrete oil rig called Ninian Central (google it, it's interesting)

If you just want to do a loop without stopping, it’s very doable.
Roads were very good.
Even the narrow ones were well maintained

Shirley is going to Dubai on 16th so i am looking at a weather window soon after of a few day's to do NC500 and Skye.
It will be all riding, stopping, photos etc etc. Not a holiday whereas i will put my feet up for a day or so.
If i don't do it now i doubt it will ever get done on a bike.
First leg for instance would be home to KOL, 400+ miles, then not so much of a rush to "do it". Last day would be a long one home. Plan is last day will be from Inverness to home.
I can put radio 2 on, the cruise control, heated seats, heated grips and have a kip whilst blasting down the M6
