We have a giant 150+ year old maple tree that drops tens of thousands of spinning seeds.

Forecast this morning, rain and cold.

Then I checked another one, and it said drizzle, so I got the bike out

On the way home, stopped at Tesco. Put helmet in top box. Forgot gloves. Went to put them in the top box, and the f*#¥ lock jammed. Sh1t. Now what?

After a daunting 60 seconds, realised I could buy a can of WD40!
Thankfully it did the job!

Must admit, it never occurred to me to oil the top box

(Ed has told me off for poor maintenance)

Pancakes. Maple and pecan tart, Orange steamed sponge with maple syrup.....endless possibilities. Ice cream!!!

Tapping sugar maples to get sap to make syrup is common practice in the NE USA.

In the SE USA, pecan pies are a dessert staple.
