July is terribly hot in Spain, mix it with the Mediterranean coast and it’s scorchio. We are about 1/2 hour inland, so it’s much nicer.

If I could, I’d keep the house there, and buy one here, but my pockets aren’t as deep as Bob’s

Bob, we didn’t treat it like a holiday after the first couple of weeks. Some people live there as though it is a holiday and spend all their time in bars.

We got friendly with the Spanish, explored everywhere and worked. It was a wonderful opportunity and I’m so glad we had the chance.

I always refer to it as my practice retirement! Taking 10 years out when you are 50 and fit is a neat plan.

Mind you, 60 still has a pretty good schedule
