Phil Read posted the following on the Farcebook message group:

I've just had A reply from Emma's son. Emma's doing ok here at Kings. Doctors have A plan to put her right and are hoping to operate on Monday. She can't message herself as she can't see the screen of the phone at the moment. She's looking forward to getting back to normal and catching up with everyone. There probably won't be any more news till later on Monday.

Thanks Piglet, at least we now know it wasn't so serious that they can wait until Monday to operate......although still bad.
Wishing her well.

I only have her land line number, not her mobile, so I can’t send her a message
If someone would pm me the number, that would be wonderful, thank you

Just had this.
Just to let you know that Emma was brought back up to the ward late last night. They seem happy with how the operation went and now it's down to the recovery. I'll let you know more when I head back up later today.

Thanks Phil. There are a few fans of Emma on here that don't do other forum/media type stuff so any info we can get on our fellow bikers is welcomed. Ta

Just had quick chat to Emma, gave her all of your best wishes. She had just managed to feed herself without getting it every where. Turned out it was an aneurism that bled into her left eye. She's unable to make or receive calls without help because of her vision, but hopes that should get better soon. She sounded very tired but positive she's also looking forward to reading all of these messages when she's able.
Cheers
