How rubbish are our roads.
Went for a ride towards Crew and around.
Road works, temporary traffic lights, diversions , massive pot holes, double parked cars so traffic stopped whilst the others get through, rubbish drivers with absolutely no road craft whatsoever, timid drivers that wont go untill they get an invitation, lights change to green and the driver fast asleep, and to top it all 4 ANPR vans, oh the joys of riding and driving in the UK, wonderful.
Going for a few pints now, hope there is someone there i can have a moan at besides the refugee.

Re: Roads
well........ yup...... you kind of summed it all up there Bob...................... I could write volumes about my experiences riding on UK roads over the decades..... 98% of all the hazards are 100% ignored by the Police and other authorities to my mind....... their only answer is Scamara Vans, fines, Speed awareness courses and a general disrespect of people just having fun or going about their business............. I do wonder just how many murderers, rapists and thieves would be caught if they actually spent as much money and time on that rather than hounding otherwise innocent folk who dare to exceed some rediculous speed limit imposed by some equally rediculous public servant.....................
Ok, I confess.......
Re: Roads
I had a cup of coffee with a Policeman today. It's only taken him three days to get here, but at least someone came
Not his fault, I know. We only have one station open at night and that's in Maidstone. They are supposed to organise every response from there during night hours.
I felt it prudent not to mention I had called a neighbour and his gun to come round and chase off an intruder instead of calling the Police. He's been warned not to shoot pikeys but they didn't warn him not to shoot anyone else
I reported it the next morning but I think they've only bothered to come and see me because I wasn't the only one getting a night time visitor. Whoever it was hasn't come back. Frightened several old people in the village. I was scared, too, but luckily I have awesome neighbours to call on.
That's when you really need the Police. I wouldn't mind if they cracked down on mobile 'phone users in cars. Thay need stopping, too.

Re: Roads
I hear you Bob.
I lost count of the number of temporary traffic lights i encountered today. And none of them were to fill pot holes.
