Yup, me too...... I first talked to them about doing it when my Z900 was in for the Re-map...... That was December 13th, the day my Dad Died........ He was always in awe of my bikes and a bit of a Petrol head himself..... he only stopped driving his SLK at 90, some 73 years after passing his test in the Army on his 17th birthday....... I remember driving to the bike shop feeling guilty that he was in hospital and hearing the news when I got home. He would have loved to see me on the Grom.
Ok, I confess.......

Bitter sweet remembering those who aren't here any more.
I hope you have your treasured Grom back in time for a shortest day celebration. I really can't wait to hear how it goes once it's finished :)

I feel your pain Emma..... I feel everyone's pain losing partners and loved ones.....especially those who were around for so long .......... :-| The Grom will surely be amazing and I'll be posting my thoughts here no probs...... going back to a previous conversation, I'm having the most vivid dreams of past events and people I've met and wow, what a rush It's been............... Dreaming in 4K is such an amazing experience, I'm even able to see people as they are now, from 40 years back...........reckon You'll understand this ? not many others will though......
Ok, I confess.......

I know exactly what you mean.

Thankfully I'm back to not dreaming so often, but the odd one still gets through. And there's no escape from weirdness, even in real life.
A friend who now lives in Australia sent me a video clip of some music I used to love and it took me right back to when we were both 11. For just a moment I really thought I was still there. Very strange sensation, much more so then the ordinary thinking back and remembering. I wasn't very happy back then and I felt properly unsettled for several hours.

Happily a nice booster jab and then cooking all day for a dinner party my Mum gives every year for her friends bought me right back to reality.
She can't cook, but it won't stop a savage critique coming my way. I suppose once I'm over 90 I'll do that to my kids. Hope not though :)

I'm sorry. I seem to be having trouble with understanding your post. I thought you said something has happened. I really must get a grip on reality :D

Seriously though, I feel for that poor chap. He must have been having a miserable time and I'm glad to hear that he's now getting back to work.
If only they'd explained what was really going on, right from the start, you would have been able to make allowances and known that it was likely to be a long time before things moved forwards.
So I now regret wanting to go and have his kneecaps off. Mental issues are so hard to get through. I'm sorry I threatened violence.
However, that doesn't excuse the rest of them from hiding the facts from you. I'm going to be absolutely knackered by the time I've dealt with everyone else. How many staff are there? I may need another plan.....
