Well, Feck me.......

Post by Snev »

Look chaps, I'm really trying to at a bit of depth to this site ...... but bugger me ..... any chance you can join in ? lol............... Come on, lets see some effort however boring it might be......... Here's another example for you, The Z900 has been in the Dealers for about 4 Weeks now, It's had all the Electric and technical rubbish swapped over and still no change.... latest thinking is an ECU Issue ( I told them that Months ago) ...... Then It's going to be an argument with KHI as I chose to get the mis firing piece of crap, Re-mapped to sort it out !!!!!! anyway, I'm so glad I paid £9000 for a bike I've not really ridden, that rides like shit plus another £500 taking it to Bristol to get it re-mapped......... Sometimes I wish I was back in the days when I was broke, with absolutely nothing and Happy !
Ok, I confess.......

I probably could but not too sure what they would be able to do that my Dealer can't.... at the moment they are trying to source a new ECU to swap over and test to see if it is the problem, then they have to go back to Kawasaki and try to get a new one under warranty .......£1200 plus workshop time.... but it might be an issue as I had it re-mapped. :(

LOL, that's not a bike either :-p
Sounds nice where you are going. Hope we can get back down there. The way things are going we may just do as it don't look like we are going to get to Euroland. And exotic places further afield are out anorl.
Just booked 6 nights on a site on the Gower Peninsula. Never been so new roads. I think people talk funny down there :D

Just got back from a little run on the bike. I was thinking a big daft bike like this is wasted just going around the block so should i chop it in for a CB 1100RS AND a Honda PS125 Scooter that i could put on a rack on the back of the MH :!:

Food for thought.

It's a Dilemma Bob...... If we keep "Puk" then I'll be getting a proper MC Rack on the back , but if we decide to upgrade then I'll not bother...... at the moment, Puk has virtually everything we need and I'm a tad hesitant to trade up. I'd love a CB1100 RS too, It just takes me back to the GS850G that i had so much fun on....... Similar Power and Weight too so it's got to be a really comfy and relaxed bike......... Blimey, I think I'm getting Old !!!!!!

I think I'd like a motorhome for occasional use. I do enjoy my camping, but I can see the attraction of four wheels.
I haven't done any long trips with the tents so far this year. I seem to have lost the plot a bit with house selling and so many things around me changing at once. Maybe I'll look into hiring one for a long weekend once things settle down a bit.

As for your bike still not being sorted out, I'd be SO angry if it was mine. And sad and disappointed and frustrated. I do hope something good happens to it soon. You really do expect that taking it to a shop, instead of tinkering at home would be the best way to get things done, but it doesn't ever seem to work out.

I bought a new mobile phone yesterday. Fed up with everyone telling me to get on with learning new technology stuff. Lunch time today, it stops working. Back to the shop, where I am prepared to rip Roger's head off if he doesn't make it work and never break down again. I think he recognised a desperate woman when he saw one. Now I have another brand new phone. Roger knows he will die if the same thing happens again.

Have you thought of dressing as a woman Snev? Maybe it will help them see you're not to be messed with any more.

Seriously though, I do hope you get it sorted soon. It's just not good enough, having to keep waiting for someone to figure it all out.

"Have you thought of dressing as a woman Snev? "........... Only on Wednesdays normally....... :D think is though the problem has baffled Bransons, JHS Racing and Kawasaki so far.... I do think it's an ECU Issue but won't know till they swap it over..... either way, It'll lose it's new Map which cost me a few £££'s so I can feel an argument brewing !..... 4 Wheels are good for lots of things Bee, I was talking to a chap called Neville this morning on the camp site ! He had a 6 wheeler ( tag Axle) MH and he had just had a Lung Transplant due to COPD..... which was interesting....
