A day of Bikes today.....
A day of Bikes today.....
Out this morning on the Grom for a bit of Countryside Exploration, then I have to take my Z900 back to the shop to get it plugged in to diagnostics to see what's wrong with it, then I'm taking out the new MT09 SP for a test ride, then hopefully I'll be taking my original MT09 home then going back for the Z....... All in Glorious Sunshine.
Ok, I confess.......

Can't believe this weather.
Still not seen rain for 4 months now.
I hope, but highly unlikely it stays like this into next week. So looking forward to a couple of hours out on the bike.
8th day tests NEG. We are going home. 5.30am taxi to car hire then 100mph up the M/Way.

That’s excellent news Bob.
At least you will get a few days in before the rain arrives

Re: A day of Bikes today.....
Well, It was cold on the Grom, the Z900 was given an "A" pass on the Diognostics, so back to JHS for a Rolling Road re-test..... The MT09 SP was not very impressive so won't be buying one and my original MT09 is now having the Engine dropped to test the Starter motor because they can't find anything else wrong, so all in all, a pretty crap Bike Day. Hey Ho, got a nice little trip in the Tranny in the morning to Exeter. Might just call in to Bridge MC's.
Ok, I confess.......

I’m hoping my new chain and sprockets arrive today, so I can get some miles done before returning to work on Monday.
If it ain't fun, don't do it

I love new chain and sprocket day! No matter which bike it's on, it's always good and the Kawasaki really needed his doing urgently when I first decided to keep him as a second bike. The difference was really noticeable. Worth every penny.
Bob. So pleased to hear you'll be back in your own home again. Hope the weather lasts for you. Enjoy!

Not happening on my F 800 GT.
Thankfully unless damaged by FOD, the toothed pulleys last almost forever since by price one would think they are made from iridium and not aluminium alloy.

Loved my belt drive bikes. I did manage to break a pulley though. Replaced with one from a Buell. Even more fun! Can't remember the number of toothy bits, but good swap.

Forgot the bit about one being a BMW and one the Harley.
Re: A day of Bikes today.....
I broke a belt, but fortunately I could get the exact same Conti belt from Wunderlich America for $400 as BMW Motorrad USA wanted $520 for.
