For those who have missed the millions of "I'm back" posts on many different pages and forums, I'm back!
Permission to drive granted and as of late afternoon I officially have a banging heartbeat, clear lungs (caught a nasty lung infection in hospital which has taken months to recover from) great blood pressure and a very fit liver (which also suffered badly during the brain op.). I am convinced that the steady intake of red wine during lockdown paid off amazingly well
What a scary few months it's been. All behind me now. It seemed very strange to walk out to the car and drive to the doctors, all by myself this afternoon. All the practice nurses and a couple of the doctors came out to wave at me from a safe distance, which was really nice. They've all been so good when John was sick and looked after me very well ever since. A real bonus having access to one of the best GP surgeries in Britain. It must be true. It was in one of the NHS surveys a couple of years back. Lucky me
I'm back!

Brilliant news Bee.
We will have to have a meet up at some point.
Obviously the Kent wedding I was meant to go to in May was cancelled.
Hope you have a lovely summer

If it ain't fun, don't do it
Re: I'm back!
I was looking forward to the May visit, but how much more disappointing for everyone who's had to miss their weddings.
I've only just been told today that the extreme weakness is quite common after a brain injury, so something else I need to find out more about. It's one big learning curve nowadays. I would have known this if all the follow up appointments hadn't been cancelled.
Never mind. I'm sure I can find a way round this in no time. No stopping me now

Excellent news Mrs. Bee . Myself and herself are so glad you're getting back to fighting fitness .
We definitely need a forum meet sometime , when we're allowed back out to play .

Mabrook Bee, onwards and upwards. Next step the bike.
Agree a meet up is well overdue.
Ditto others. Was supposed to be at a wedding in Blenheim this Saturday...……..cancelled.

Work is for people that can't play golf.

Piglet, I could tell you a few stories about DAF Daffodils. I hope I never have to drive one again. I have a deformed thumbnail from being bitten by a DAF variomatic in about 1978. Nasty little things
