Nice drive

Post by bobsnicholson »

I am on the road tomorrow. Nice little jaunt from Busot to Bilbao, 505 miles, 7 hours or so. Overnight ferry then hell, and i mean hell, Portsmouth to Cheshire on a Friday afternoon/evening, oh what joy. Last time we did it on a Friday it took 8.5 hours to do 290 miles...............effing joke.
The Velar is loaded to the gunnels.
Madam will stay at the villa and guard it like a Rottweiler.
Then a week in UK. Pick up a hire van (mines too small) and back to Busot to clear the villa (of what we are taking) most of it is staying and sold with the villa.
6 day's in Busot then back to UK to sort the landscapers out at the new place (well brother coming over from Ukraine to do it for me).
And then, a holiday...........i hope. 8-)

If I were you, I'd have a day enjoying the sights in Portsmouth, then set off for up-north, when everyone has gone home!

If you see a plane heading to Alicante on Friday - I'll be on it! :-p :-p :-p
If it ain't fun, don't do it

NC, "enjoy the sights of Portsmounth", been before, not a lot to enjoy. Motorway traffic is preferable. :(

Enjoy your stay when you get here. 25/6c in Alicante today, but bit windy.

You said no gardens. What is the landscaper for? I am always curious about other people's gardens (or not gardens, as the case may be).

Bee, our new garden is by comparison to the last place is a no garden. At only 14.5mts X 13mt the new garden is tiny, AND it aint having any grass. Astra turf and planters are the new garlic bread.

That is the most important reason for having a big garden. Humungous sheds and still room for growing food and flowers. I have seven sheds. One just can't have enough sheddage.

I am gobsmacked. Thought it was going to be a nightmare run up from Portsmouth. Turns out i never stopped. A few times i slowed right down for a time but soon going well again. Drove off the boat at 3pm, arrive home 290 miles later 7.40pm, now that's good considering a Friday afternoon on a bank holiday. Very happy. Am i really saying this.
