Post by bobsnicholson »

Weather looked good so thought have a ride to the Ponderosa.
Lovely on the way there, temp machine showing 14c. Then started climbing and the temp dropped like a stone. By the time i got to the top it was showing 2.5c and i was effing freezing.
Went on the RT so could have taken lots of cloathing but thick me never thought.

Bacon n eggs were gradely.

When I went to Illinois on Tuesday it was 65°F (18°C) and sunny, when I came back today it was 35°F (2°C) and pouring rain.

Only a couple hundred miles, but at the same latitude. Weather where I went is usually the same as it was at home 8 to 12 hours before.

Over here in we can have that kinda variation in less than 100 miles, nice, sunny, feeling warm over in the Northeast these last few days quite unusual for the time of year,

I'm waiting for last years weather to start.
Have to say, my place to Buxton on Wednesday was very pleasant on the RT.

Worst weather to hit the UK will be 3rd of May as I’ve booked my bike in for tyres , service and MoT .
Guaranteed to have snow and ice when I ride the 30 miles there on bald tyres .
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !
