Ride out to Javea today.

Got to Gandia on the way home, and the Guardia had shut the road. Bicycle race.

Waited for it to open, then stopped off for fuel, thinking they would clear ahead of us. Filled up, set off again, only to go 1/2 mile or so, when the road was closed again. Ambulance. Two of the bikes had clipped each other.

Nice Guardia policeman made me stay behind him until we got to our dual carriageway. Oh look... it had been closed off, and we now had 10 miles of road with nothing ahead, and all the police occupied behind.

There's just been a bike bike race here. Road closures, inconvenience the thousands so a few Lycra clad gay's can get their rocks off peddling.
Run em off the road i say
