Bee, i have a similar strategy.
Pick up phone and say "pick up bike, fix it, bring it back". Simples.
Work is for people that can't play golf.

I got all the bits for mine, but I don’t own a filter wrench, let alone the rest!

Went for a ride on it yesterday... stopped at a mates for coffee... low and behold... I got a lift back... bike will be serviced for when I get back from Spain.

(Note to self - bake cake 😆👍)

It's amazing what you can do with cakes. I'm always giving cakes as thank you presents or in exchange for things. As for oil filter wrenches, there is a drawer in one of the tool chests that has four different types in there but there's always the screw driver through the filter trick as a last resort. :)

Yes, I know that trick.

But leaving it with someone else, means no chance of oil on the drive or garage floor 😉

That's true. My last oil change was done in Phil Read's garage. He valued his floor too much to let me play :D
