Sort of!
I’ve usually managed to ride at least once a month throughout the year, but I didn’t even put the keys in the Fazer in January.
It’s still tucked up, covered in acf50.
Will have to take it out soon, for an oil change and new pads.
I did take the ninja out though

Re: Failed
I started off well in January, but the last couple of weeks I've only managed a couple of rides, one on each bike. The snow and ice are gone but now we have very high winds and flooded parts on some of the back lanes, so I'm waiting until Saturday when it should calm down again.
Phil is going to do an oil change on the Kawasaki, which it needs badly, so I shall take it out whatever the weather, unless it's back to icy again.

Just been for a 10.7k walk in the 33c sunshine, wot do you mean "mad dogs an Englishman"
Work is for people that can't play golf.
Re: Failed
I hope you had something nice and cold to sit and recover with, Bob. That's quite hot.
It's warm enough here, but I want to go over to Phil's place and the wind is so strong that I've had trouble opening the back door this morning. The forecast is wet and windy for tomorrow so today's the day if I'm going to make the journey. The Kawasaki needs an oil change and everything is already waiting in Phil's garage. It seems a shame to miss the chance of sunshine and dry roads so I'll probably wait an hour and see if it gets any better or worse.

Re: Failed
Should I even mention the fact that I haven't used or moved my bike since returning from Portugal last September ?
The shame .
The shame .
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !

Re: Failed
Finally stuck the key in the Fazer last night (well, it was valentines) and fired it up.
It’s a bit grubby but not too bad.
Pick up the bits for it on Saturday , and I’m actually going to service it myself (with a bit of help as I don’t own any tools!).

If it ain't fun, don't do it
Re: Failed
I am determined to learn to do more jobs on the bikes myself. So far my progress goes like this :
Read up and learn as much as possible.
Find the tools and make sure I have all the new parts, filter oil etc. and the workshop manual open at the right page.
Fail to undo the first nut/bolt/screw/ whatever it is.
Throw mini tantrum, remembering not to kick anything and hurt myself.
Swallow pride, phone a friend and ask for help then hurry indoors to bake something nice to say thank you with.
At least I know what I should be doing, even if I haven't managed to actually fix anything by myself yet.
