Re: Tick
It's the wrynose pass bit that the worst, its where the gearbox went on our car had to roll back down the hillside edge bit a good few hundred feet going backwards on the most skiny bit of road ever, I was passenger so was looking over the ravine edge, hoping other road user would figure out we had a spot of bother,
Been back many times since, once you get that bit done and drop down into the valley leading to hardknott pass its lovely

Re: Tick
I've looked at it but can't make my mind up. Sometimes I think it would be good fun, other times I just know I'd fall off. I think I'd be fine if I had the road to myself. My problem is always getting my feet down if I have to stop. If I had to give way on any of the steep parts the chances of me going over sideways are quite high.
I'm very interested to see how it goes, Brig. It's a proper challenge, for sure.

Re: Tick
I've managed It Twice, first time on my Busa and the second time on my MT...… both times it rained …… I have a great Video of the last trip but haven't a clue how to Upload It...… There are a few Bends that make you think, so be careful . At the Top is an ancient Roman Camp if you need somewhere to pitch a tent !!!!
Ok, I confess.......

Re: Tick
Do you recon a RT would be easier than a smaller nimble bike to take up (or down) or harder????? or is it just down to the rider???

Re: Tick
A bit of both..... it has some steep and twisty bits, You'll struggle not putting your foot down.... the MT was way easier than the Heavy Busa...... Well worth going though.bobsnicholson wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 9:43 am Do you recon a RT would be easier than a smaller nimble bike to take up (or down) or harder????? or is it just down to the rider???
