Retirement

Post by bobsnicholson »

For awhile now i've been considering giving up biking (keep the scoot for village runs and maybe tow behind the MH)
When i picked the Wing up from service and new tyre i said deffo giving it up.
Yesterday i was asked to deliver some papers to Crewe. I went on the Wing. The bike was superb, i was in the mood, everything went well, it was a joy.
How on earth can i justify to myself giving up when one has days like yesterday.
Finding it hard to decide one way or other.
Work is for people that can't play golf.

Are you a Gemini ?.... being one myself is like having a constant argument..... one day I love a bike, another day I hate it.... The Z900 gave me a big dilemma as it was good and bad. I do think that being able to buy and sell bikes more frequently also makes you question the ones you have..... if that makes sense ? If you could only afford the Scooter and one more bike, what would it be ?..... for me it would be the MT09 as it suits my Gemini persona.
Ok, I confess.......

The Wing meets everything i want and need for a bike. Being somewhat mature (in age anyway) i am not interested so much in power, speed, cornering on pegs blah blah, comfort, protection from the elements within reason, a bit of poke (Wing has 125 bhp but weights a ton) is what i want/need.
Don't like the togging up when it's colder with all the layers.
But like yesterday, i do love being out in the elements.
I almost never ever close my visor..............close it only in heavy rain as that hurts the face when it hits.
EDIT. no i'm a Capricorn.

You could always become a fair weather rider like me . :D

Remember , You're only as old as the woman you want to feel ! (or something like that) :D
It wasn't my fault , I was left unsupervised !
